(Animated battle map) A strategic overview of the Shenandoah Valley Campaign of 1862. A classic campaign of maneuverability and a text book example of how to defeat your superior enemy in detail. It was said that Jackson would always carry 3 books with him, a dictionary, a bible and Napoleon’s Military Maxims. I found an awesome quote that appears to prove the napoleon bit.
